Angela Tracy is a Durham based artist, who expresses her love for nature through her pen and ink drawings, paintings and sculpture.
Her passion for drawing and painting began as a young child and continued through into adulthood, while she pursued her career in education and brought up her family. Now retired, she works in her studio, where she continues to be inspired by her garden and the local hedgerows.
2018 brings a new and exciting challenge for Angela, as she documents the changing seasons in Crook Hall Gardens through her photographs, pen and ink drawings and watercolours; the winter trees, the first hellebores, aconites and snowdrops, the spring flowers that lift the spirit, the brash colours of the summer garden and the nasturtiums, berries and leaves in the Autumn, bringing late colour before the winter. Her work will culminate in an exhibition at Crook Hall early in 2019.
As our artist in residence you may see her working in the gardens when you come to visit us here at Crook Hall. You can follow her artist journey on our website, facebook and newly published instagram page @ayearincrookhallgardens.
